How to Create an Account on Knotree
Welcome to Knotree — where you can manage notes, assignments, and spaced repetition all in one place. This guide will walk you through creating an account and getting started in just a few minutes.
Prerequisites
Before creating an account, make sure you have:
- A valid email — You'll use this to log in and verify your account.
- A password with at least 8 characters — We recommend mixing letters, numbers, and special characters for better security.
- A modern browser — Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge (latest version).
Note: Currently, Knotree supports registration via email and password. Sign-up through Google and Apple is under development and will be available soon.
Steps to Create an Account
Step 1: Go to the Sign-Up Page
Open your browser and navigate to:
https://knotree.com/en/signup
Or from the homepage, click the "Get Started" button in the top-right corner.
Step 2: Fill in Your Information
On the sign-up page, you'll need to fill in the following fields:

Step 3: Verify Your Email
After filling in your information and clicking "Create my space", Knotree will send a verification email to the address you registered with.
- Check your inbox.
- Look for an email from Knotree with the subject "Verify your email".
- Click the link in the email to verify your account.
If you don't receive the email within 5 minutes, check your Spam folder or click "Resend verification email" on the login page.
Step 4: Complete the Sign-In
After successfully verifying your email, you'll be redirected to your Space — where you can start creating your first note.
Features Available Right After Sign-Up
Once you've successfully registered, you can immediately use:
- New Note — Create your first note with an editor that supports math formulas and code.
- Create Flashcards — Automatically generate flashcards from notes for review.
- Workspace — Organize notes into collections.
Troubleshooting
Verification Email Not Received
- Check your Spam/Junk folder.
- Make sure the email address you entered has no typos.
- Try clicking "Resend verification email".
Password Not Accepted
- Your password must be at least 8 characters long.
- Try using your browser's password manager to avoid copy errors.
Account Already Exists
If you see the message "Email already in use", you may already have an account. Try clicking "Forgot password?" or log in with your existing account.
